This is the story of a large African-American family preparing to move north from the Sea Islands off the coast of Georgia at the dawn of the 20th century. It explores the unique culture of the Gullah people, descendants of slaves who lived in relative isolation on the Sea Islands off the Georgia coast. Open seating; registration not required.
