Story Central: Shady Business in the Sun: A Reporter’s Education in Florida Hustlers In-Person
Florida has always been a haven for shady entrepreneurs. Come enjoy outrageous tales of real-life hustlers, like the mysterious woman who "found" and profited by the Fountain of Youth in Saint Augustine and the restaurateur who served rattlesnake at his Auburndale cafe. You may not know whether to laugh or cry, but you’re bound to be enthralled!
For 35 years, Walt Belcher was a reporter and columnist for The Tampa Tribune. Now a full-time storyteller, he has performed in five states, hosts storytelling events in the Tampa area, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Florida Storytelling Association.
