Story Central: The Anne Frank Legacy: A Conversation with Miep Gies (A Chautauqua Event) In-Person
In advance of the 85th anniversary of Kristallnacht, master storyteller Megan Wells appears as Miep Gies, the woman who helped hide Anne Frank’s family and other Dutch Jews from the Nazis during World War Two. As Gies, Megan Wells makes history come alive with meticulous detail and emotion.
A former actress and director, Chicago storyteller Megan Wells has mesmerized audiences for four decades with her singular repertoire and talent. She has been honored with the National Storytelling Network Circle of Excellence award and is the artistic director of the Ray Bradbury Storytelling Festival.
