Gardening in Small Spaces with Farmer Jay

Gardening in Small Spaces with Farmer Jay In-Person

This program for adults and families is taught by Jason McCobb, aka "Farmer Jay," an expert in sustainable agriculture, specializing in urban gardening without the use of pesticides or synthetic chemicals. He builds attractive gardens using accessible raised beds, crushed stone paths, trellises, vertical herb containers, iguana proofing, rot proofing, and more. Farmer Jay and his wife Denia run Farmer Jay’s Jr. Sprouts, a non-profit teaching children where food comes from, and helping to pass along the lost art of sustainable agriculture. His programs for children include topics such as "Why Eat Vegetables," and can include arts & crafts activities. He offers lectures for the adult audience on Container Gardening, Gardening in Small Spaces, Herb Growing for Beginners, and other various topics.
